Palace had a disappointing start to the season, an opening day 3-2 defeat at Selhurst by Waford was followed by a 4-1 reverse at Bristol City and a 2-1 defeat at Middlesbrough.
The Eagles got their first points of the season when they defeated Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at Selhurst in their last game.
Dougie Freedman’s side have good attacking options with the likes of Glenn Murray and new arrival, David Goodwillie, available to fill the striking berths. Yannick Bolasie and Wilfred Zaha are a potent supply line from the flanks and Solly and Wiggins will have to be on their mettle.
Palace are less impressive defensively and Chris Powell will be hoping to capitalise. With the quality of the opposition wide players, Powell may revert to a traditional 4-4-2 formation to give his full-backs better protection.
Rhoys Wiggins, Leon Cort and Ricardo Fuller have played for the visitors and all three are likely to play a part.
Cort is expected to recover from a foot problem to partner Michael Morrison at the heart of the defence. Chris Solly and Wiggins will flank them.
Dale Stephens was missed at Forest and is likely to return at the expense of Jordan Cook, who will drop to the bench. Danny Green will be pushing for a starting berth and Powell will have to choose between Green’s creativity and Bradley Pritchard’s endeavour.
Ricardo Fuller is another who will be anxious to start but the Jamaican may have to make his home debut from the bench.
Powell could opt for this team:
Hamer; Solly, Cort, Morrison, Wiggins; Pritchard, Stephens, Hollands, Jackson; Kermorgant, Wright-Phillips.
Subs: Button, Wilson, Dervite, Green, Kerkar, Cook, Fuller.
Tony Bates from Stafford will take charge of the game.
Powell will be keen to return to winning ways and will be hoping his team can snatch the three points.
